Just getting over the fantastic Déferlantes at Barcares (lots of photos and reviews still to come) and the incredible variety of artists when the scene is set for another great festival “LIVE AU CAMPO” – and the line-up is just as thrilling! However, here the similarity ends! This festival is situated in the heart of Perpignan in the very historique site. In fact, the scene is very picturesque with its 14th century funerary cloister that uses the open courtyard for concerts and festivals.
The audience is seated but when artists such as M. Pokora put on their show it is impossible to remain seated for long – you just have to get up and go with the music! Smaller, more intimate and, of course, a much smaller audience – but that, in fact, adds to its charm. The atmosphere is more intimate and you feel that you are a part of the scene.
It is also interesting to note that the festival gives local talents the possibility to perform on the same platform as the more celebrated performers although it may be a little daunting to be the warm-up for such personalities as Florent Pagny.
