The follow-up to their very successful festival in 2022 will take place at the Chateau Valmy, Argelès-sur-Mer du 8 au 10 juin. This is an event that offers something for everyone. The very name itself conjures up a treat for the lovers of great Roussillon wines and local epicurean products to the accompaniment of some of the best known french entertainers.
The line-up on the opening day is impressive as well as diverse. Starting with the sound of Stéphane Sanseverino jazz manouche and folk rock to Amir Haddad, a french-Israeli singer and songwriter, better known as Amir who was a finalist in ‘The Voice’ and Christophe Mae whose music has been influenced by some of the greats including Bob Marley and Stevie Wonder.
What better accompaniment for a festival epicurean than Elmer Food Beat – Ca c’est Rock, followed by Charlie Winston, an English born singer-songwriter and the ever-popular Zazie. A formidable line-up for the second day.
The round-up for the last day of the festival includes the charismatic Will Barber with his musical genius and creativity inspired by Led Zeppelin, BBKing and the Motown Sound. Juliette Armanet writes, composes, sings and accompanies herself on piano. A mistress of french pop and rock, named in the NRJ Music Awards 2022 in the categories ‘Tournée Francophone’ and ‘Artiste Francophone of the Year’. However, for me and I am sure for many thousands of spectators and lovers of his musique and astounding technique and passion, Ibrahim Maalouf will be the icing on the cake. He is without a doubt one of the most charismatic musiciens I have ever heard. I had the pleasure to be an accredited photographer at the Pellicu-Live Festival in 2022 in Thuir where he was performing during this 3-day festival. The atmosphere was electric. His accomplishments are too numerous to quote but you only need to know that when you are listening to him perform he will transport you to another world.
In conclusion, this three-day event is all about enjoying some of the best wines and foods that French Roussillon offers whilst listening to the varied sounds of some of the best performers in France today…and all this in the company of great friends.
I will warn you now that this festival will be sold out very quickly….so get your bookings in before it is too late……can’t say I didn’t warn you!!
